WALLALONG HOUSE January 2023 - as featured in Hunter Valley Wedding Magazine. Issue 28

When Hayley and Joel first visited Wallalong House in the Upper Hunter, their jaws hit the floor. For them, it was time to ask the million-dollar question ‘Can our dogs come?’. When the answer was YES there was no turning back.

FLORALS

Hayley knew she wanted something out of the ordinary with pops of orange as this citrus expression was going to feature throughout the wedding day. We also needed something that was going to pair beautifully with her maids blue print dresses from SIR the Label. As Dahlia season was in full swing we found gorgeous varieties in copper, coral, orange and peach mixing these with peach roses, lisianthus and cream spray roses for that old cottage garden charm. For their reception we couldn’t go past the simplistic styling of single orange blooms accented with apple green foliage in signature bud vases. To welcome guests to their party vibe reception tent we created a show stopping arrangement in the same soft peach tones that adorned a stunning stone sculpture.

CEREMONY
“The ceremony location was nothing short of stunning. We love that you can walk straight out of the house and down the aisle. The way the beautiful fig trees frame the area is so breathtaking. Needless to say, we didn’t have worry about styling the area as the natural beauty is more than enough… and we love a minimalistic vibe.”

RECEPTION
“We love the Indian style reception tent and really tried to stick with the theme of a natural, minimalist vibe with pops of colour and a little bit of Balinese decor to match the venue. We had a banquet, so didn’t need much table styling other than some bud vases, travertine tiles and beautiful textured candles. Our favourite pop of colour were our dried citrus name place cards. Our entire night was full of laughing, happy tears, full bellies, a full dance floor and an overload of espresso martinis.”

DETAILS
“The only things that were important to us on the day were that we got to marry our best friend and that we had a really relaxed and out of this world fun day. Tick! Each one of our vendors went above and beyond to make our day everything that we wanted. Pure magic!”

It was an absolute pleasure to create such a magical floral filled wedding day for Hayley & Joel.
